What better way of advertising your goods and services than with a business card that people just won't want to throw away? These cards can be made up as a flashlight using a variety of coloured LEDs, or made into a special ultraviolet version for some interesting applications from checking security marks on bank notes to invisible inks and energising glow-in-the-dark materials.
This kit contains all you need to make your own business card flashlights.
The basic kit contains:
- 2 x plastic cards
- 1 x laser-cut foam spacer
- 1 x LED (or 2 for dual option)
- 2 x CR2032 batteries (or 2 for dual option)
You need to make a few choices about how you want your cards delivered :
Choice 1 - Colour
We would suggest:
- Obviously use the ultraviolet version if that is what you want
- If you want a flashlight, we suggest the white or yellow - the white is a more conventional colour for a flashlight, but it is a little dimmer than the yellow
- If you can think of an application for a red, this is also a fun option and together with the yellow is one of the brightest colours
Choice 2 - Second LED
You may well want just a simple flashlight card. The option is available however to have a second LED at the other end of the card of a different colour.
Choice 3 - Printing
If you select the 'No printing' option, the kits will be supplied with enough sheets of inkjet-compatible self-adhesive vinyl for you to create and print your own artwork. The kit will include one sheet of vinyl for each 10 cards as there is plenty of room to layout the artwork for 10 cards on each sheet. Note however that at such low prices we can't afford to offer individual assistance to create your artwork; we would suggest people only choose this option if they have (and can use) a graphics package to design their own, know how to use their package to layout multiple versions on one sheet and have some basic craft skills to apply the finished artwork to their cards. Many people will it is more cost effective (and time effective) to select a printing option and send us the artwork. We will then print it on our card printer and supply the kits ready to assemble. Doing them this way also looks more professional and there is no surface to peel off. For most people a single or dual colour print would be the suggested option. If you want to do this you need to read our Artwork Guidelines and also let us know in the comments of your order what colour(s) you want us to use. We can only do this in black, red, green, and blue, however if you have really specific requirements please do ask us as we are able to offer more advanced options as well (such as silver, gold or white printing on coloured cards). We are also able to source supplies to print 'scratch off' panels on the cards if you can think of a use for this!
We can also offer full colour printing which will be done on our own printer for quantities up to 100, and for greater quantities we have these professionally printed on your behalf (which will delay proceedings for a week or two). Again, it is important to consult our Artwork Guidelines before sending us your artwork via email. If you really want to impress we suggest you get your artwork professionally designed - it makes a big difference. If you don't have your own designer we can do this for you for a flat one-off fee of £35 which includes an emailed proof of the design as it will come off the printer.
Choice 4 - Assembly
It only takes a minute to make the kit but you will need some way of gluing it together (we suggest a hot glue gun) if you select the cheapest option. If you have no glue then you might want to add the 'double sided tape' option. They can also be provided fully assembled if you select this option.
